You will begin by admiring the medieval ramparts, among the best preserved in Brittany, which give rise to a charming walk along the Garenne, a path that runs alongside them, punctuated by gardens and pretty wash houses. After exploring the port, with its tree-lined quays including the Quai de la Rabine, take the 17th-century Porte Saint-Vincent, built to connect the port and the historic district: you enter the old town via a street lined with old buildings, private mansions, and half-timbered houses.
